I'm Claire. I'm a late-recognised autistic woman with ADHD and I provide neuroaffirming support tailored to your needs from tutoring, advocacy, workplace or educational training, and adjustments passports.
I work online across the UK and in-person locally to Altrincham, Cheadle, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Macclesfield.
How I can support you
Neuro Affirm offers practical support that is tailored, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience.
Tutoring (Ages 10–18)
Specialist neuro-affirming tutoring with expert KS3, GCSE and A Level English tutoring. Extensive experience supporting students with EBSA / EBSNA, either with specific English tutoring or through personalised special-interest based projects encompassing a range of subjects, e.g basic Maths, Science, History, Geography, etc.
Support for Schools
Consultation and training for schools to support individual students and create a more neuro-affirming environment, routines, and teaching practice.
Support for Workplaces
Consultation and training to support neurodivergent staff, including practical recommendations for reasonable adjustments, communication, and workplace practice.
Advocacy & Adjustments Passport
Parent and adult advocacy support alongside the Adjustments Passport, helping to communicate needs clearly and confidently in education and workplace settings.

Tutoring formats
1:1 sessions, small groups, or online group classes of up to 15 students.
Online support
Available online for students, families, schools, workplaces, and neurodivergent adults.
In-person support
In-person sessions available locally in Altrincham, Cheadle, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, and Macclesfield.
Flexible delivery
Initial consultations are usually one hour, with workshops and ongoing support tailored to each setting.
About Claire

PGCE in English with Special Educational Needs
Professional teacher training with specialist SEN focus.
BA Joint Honours in English and History
Strong subject expertise and cross-disciplinary teaching foundation.
20+ years teaching experience
Extensive secondary English experience, including KS4 and A Level Literature, with KS2 experience too.
AQA GCSE examiner experience
Insight into exam standards and assessment expectations.
Lived and professional neurodivergence expertise
I am autistic with ADHD and have extensive experience supporting neurodivergent and anxious students.
Enhanced DBS
Current enhanced DBS for work with children and vulnerable people.

Help reviewing paperwork and school communication, with practical guidance that reduces stress and improves clarity.
EHCP and school meetings
I can attend school and EHCP review meetings as a support for parents online, or in person locally.

Support with written communication so key information and needs are clear, respectful, and actionable.
Reasonable adjustments at work
Support for neurodivergent adults to identify, request, and embed practical workplace adjustments.
Meeting support
I can provide support in meetings online, or in person if local to the Altrincham area.
